If you payed attention to The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert over the last few days; you’ve probably seen radio personality Charlamagne The God discussing his latest moves as a guest. But it seems that in the near future we could be seeing the current MTV2 Uncommon Sense host on a major network with his own late night talk show. As it’s known, Charlagmagne does a continuous podcast series called The Brilliant Idiots where he went on to express his possible future. For this week’s episode as he spoke with co-host Andrew Schulz; Charlamagne reflected on his trip to The Late Night Show and hinted that he too could see himself carry on the legacy left by previous late-night men like David Letterman, Johnny Carson, and Arsenio Hall.
That’s my future. Every time I do those late night shows, I feel that. When I did Arsenio, when I did Colbert, I feel that. It’s a certain energy that a late night talk show brings… be up there with those guys when people talk about Carson, Leno, Letterman, Fallon, Colbert… you still have to put Arsenio in there even though he had a short run.. but he’s in there.
